Dog and Puppy Training in Chelmsford, Basildon, Brentwood and across all of Essex
adolescent and adult dog training
Around the age of 5 - 6 months your cute, fluffy puppy enters adolescence. Yes, that’s right, your dog has become a teenager!
With their hormones going wild and bodies changing, their behaviour can be somewhat challenging and they may turn 'deaf' to your commands, even those they had they had mastered as puppies.
What most owners want more than anything else is for their dogs to walk nicely on the lead, rather than being pulled down the road. And to come back when called when they are having off lead exercise. As you will see from the videos below I am able to help you achieve these aims and make walks a lot more enjoyable for both you and your dog.
It was such an eye opener meeting Penny. She came to see us about our dog Bailey. She was open and honest and helped us see where we were going wrong. We have total faith in her methods and everything she said made perfect sense. We are booked to meet her at Hylands Park for an obedience/agility session to show her how Bailey has progressed using the clicker method that she showed us. If you need help with your beloved dog then don't hesitate to contact Penny.

Meet Yuki, a beautiful white German Shepherd. Yuki used to pull like a train on the lead, meaning her owner was literally pulled over and going for a walk was a nightmare.
This video was taken the day after I fitted a head collar for her and showed Yuki's how to use it correctly.
And here's Yuki again. her owner couldn't let her off the lead to give her the exercise she needs as she wouldn't come back when called.
