Dog and Puppy Training in Chelmsford and across all of Essex
adolescent and adult dog training
Around the age of 5 - 6 months your cute, fluffy puppy enters adolescence.
Yes, that’s right, he’s become a teenager!
With their hormones going wild and bodies changing, their behavior can be somewhat challenging and they may turn “deaf” to your commands, even those they had they had mastered as puppies.
What most owners want more than anything else is for their dogs to walk nicely on the lead, rather than being pulled down the road. And to come back when called when they are having off lead exercise. As you will see from the videos below I am able to help you achieve these aims and make walks a lot more enjoyable for both you and your dog
Meet Uki, a beautiful white German Shepherd. Uki used to pull like a train on the lead, meaning her owner Pippa was literally pulled over and going for a walk was a nightmare.
This video was taken the day after I fitted a head collar for her and showed Pippa how to use it correctly.
And here's Uki again. Pippa couldn't let her off the lead to give her the exercise she needs as she wouldn't come back when called.
